How we choose, check and correct our stories

Trust is everything for a local publication. These are the rules we follow for every story we publish.

Last updated: October 18, 2026

Being featured is free

We never charge a business for a spotlight, a mention in a guide or a place on a list. Owners don't approve or edit our stories before they are published, though we may check facts with them.

Sponsored content is always labelled

If we ever publish paid content, it will be clearly marked Sponsored at the top of the article and wherever it is listed. Paid content never appears in our guides.

How we choose stories

We feature businesses based in or serving Pampanga that have a story worth telling: how they started, what they make, or what they add to their town. Readers and owners can suggest a business through our Get Featured form.

How we check facts

Requirements, fees and deadlines in our guides come from official sources such as the DTI, the BIR and local government offices, and we link to those sources. Business details are confirmed with the owner. When rules change, we update the guide and the date it was last checked.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and add a note at the end of the article saying what changed. To report a mistake, email hello@pampangabusiness.com with the article link and what needs fixing.

Conflicts of interest

If we have a business relationship with a business we write about, such as building its website, the article says so.

How we use AI tools

We use AI tools to help research and draft. A person checks every fact and edits every article before it is published.
